A concise structure for daily and weekly briefs that executives will actually read.

Lead with the top three stories

Start with three bullet-length summaries: what happened, why it matters, and the recommended action.

If a story does not require an action or awareness, it should not lead the brief.

Include one high-impact mention

Highlight the single most influential mention of the day. Include outlet, reach, and sentiment in one sentence.

This keeps leadership aligned on what truly matters.

Add a short trend note

Trends can be a single line such as share of voice movement or a sudden shift in sentiment.

Trends remind teams that monitoring is about patterns, not just headlines.

Close with actions and owners

List any actions required and the responsible owner. If no actions exist, state that explicitly.

Action clarity turns a brief into a decision tool rather than a news digest.
